First Business Trip
A Memorable First Business Trip to Seattle with Take Care Collective
As a team, we’ve always believed in the power of community, self-care, and collaboration. And what better way to bring those values to life than by embarking on our very first business trip together? Josie joined me in Seattle for a couple days, and it’s safe to say that this journey has been more than just about business—it’s about growth, connection, and making memories that will shape the future of Take Care Collective.
From the moment we met in Seattle, we were greeted with warm, sunny weather (yes, you read that right—sunshine in Seattle!). It felt like the perfect backdrop for our team to connect, brainstorm, and take some much-needed time to recharge and bond outside of our usual workspaces.
We explored the local coffee shops (Seattle does coffee right!), prioritized rest AND movement, and found inspiration in the city’s vibrant culture. Whether we were strolling through Pike Place Market, exploring the natural beauty of the PNW, or having deep brainstorming sessions, every moment felt like a step forward not only for our business but for our shared vision as a collective. We hope to come away from this trip with a wealth of insights, new partnerships, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Of course, no trip with Take Care Collective would be complete without taking the time to practice what we preach. We made sure to set aside moments to recharge—whether it was signing up for morning movement through ClassPass, taking walks through the city, or simply enjoying a quiet moment with a cup of coffee (and a pastry ofc). Self-care is at the core of everything we do, and being able to honor that while on a business trip was an essential part of the experience.
This trip wasn’t just a milestone for us as a company—it was a reminder of how important it is to nurture both your personal and professional growth. Take Care is the merging of two individual practices (Elevated Counseling and In Good Company Counseling) setting the foundation for us to grow beyond our wildest dreams. As we return home, we’re feeling more motivated than ever to continue building a collective that prioritizes well-being, connection, and the power of taking care of each other (including hosting our first retreat - details coming soon).
Seattle, thank you for being the perfect host - we can’t wait to see what the future holds for Take Care Collective!
